The first time I read this [borrowed] book, I knew we had to own it. Even history we wish hadn’t happened is important to learn about, and this tells the story to children very well. Highly recommend this being a part of your U.S. history (or WWII) curriculum or simply your home library!
P.S. Another picture book we appreciate regarding these Camps is “Baseball Saved Us” by Ken Mochizuki.
