Book Thoughts: Winnie (Walker)

  • true story of the bear who inspired Winnie-the-Pooh
  • told for a younger crowd
  • engaging illustrations
  • real historical photos included

Type: biographical picture book
Ages: 2-6
Author: Sally M. Walker
Illustrator: Jonathan D. Voss

I think I liked “Finding Winnie” (by Lindsay Mattick) better, but they’re both very good biographical picture books. For any child who is familiar with Winnie-the-Pooh stories, they’ll definitely find this fun!
