The person probably exists who wouldn’t be warmed up with hope after reading this book, but I don’t know him or her. It’s such a unique little tale and would make a special family read-aloud. Read it at any time of year, but it does have a lovely Christmas scene.

Kate Seredy…what can I say? To borrow a phrase from my Chestry Oak review, her writing is lyrical and almost dreamlike. I hope this story captures you, too!
