Every single name in this book is made up…and they almost all begin with T! Prince Tackatan aims to rescue the beautiful young lady, Tatsinda. King Tagador is married to Queen Tataspan. Tatrajanni children ride timtiks to school and love having pet tidwells. And on and on. It really makes for a fun read-aloud!
Having been adopted by a kind older couple who have passed away, Tatsinda is now on her own. She is different looking than everyone else in the kingdom–they all have completely white hair!–so she’s not always sure how to fit in. That quickly becomes forgotten when the evil giant steals her away and their quiet community rises to the challenge of helping her.
With the guidance of the wise woman, the bravery of the prince, and skill of Tatsinda, the giant has his work cut out for him if he wants to be successful in his kidnapping. I’m happy to say that there is a happily ever after, but I’ll not divulge its details. 😉 It really was a satisfying story for all of us to read/hear, and I recommend it!
