With its beautiful descriptions of nature, an admirable faith of a child, and a little mystery, Palko’s story is satisfying from start to finish.

Readers will heartily join him in his search for the sunshine country, where the sun never goes down. Where hope and joy are perfect.

None of the characters are flawless (though, as he grows in his faith, Palko seems close to it), so we see a real picture of people dealing with temptations, vices, and guilt. The transformation of some of these characters will warm your soul.

The physical book is a great length for a family read-aloud or there is an audiobook option I’ve listened to a couple times–it’s well done.

I hope you can enjoy this story!
