*I shared photos of my version on Instagram @ keenlykept. It’s the copy we’ve had for years, but it isn’t my favorite. 😆 I do recommend this book, but find a version closer to the original intent–that is, when a traveler tricks a whole village (who never liked to share) into combining their resources for a wonderful soup they all can share.
This particular copy we have simply has the traveler tricking an old lady. It provides conversation topics with the kiddos such as lying, deceiving, etc. but is still mild enough and infused with humor. 🙂
Have you read this old children’s classic?
