Book Thoughts: Sarah & Abraham: The Wonderful Promise (Mackenzie)

  • a retelling of the biblical “Abraham and Sarah” history, with a slight emphasis on Sarah’s point of view
  • classy illustrations appear to be well-researched
  • biblically accurate

Type: picture book
Ages: 2-7
Author: Carine Mackenzie
Illustrator: Fred Apps

This is the second we’ve read of this little series, and it’s another good one! (See my thoughts on Noah: Rescue Plan.) Photos of the insides of both books can be found on my Instagram account @ keenlykept. Find the “Veritas Press” Highlight labeled “OTAE.”

I highly recommend small books like these. As long as you’re reading God’s Word and, therefore, the truest versions, picture books which remain faithful can be lovely additions to your children’s libraries.

The author skillfully delivers the message of God’s faithfulness and immutability on the final page. Praise God for His blessings!
