  • joyous and cozy family gathering for Thanksgiving
  • the young girl accidentally breaks something, but Grandma shows her why it doesn’t matter
  • meaningful lesson how people are more important than things

Type: picture book
Ages: 4-8
Author: Charlotte Herman
Illustrator: Ben F. Stahl

All of my favorite Thanksgiving books seem to revolve around sweet family gatherings. This one was no exception. Follow the excitement of the day through the eyes of Katie, one of the grandchildren. She shares a wonderful moment with her grandma that gives us all a good reminder of proper priorities (people!).

It seems to be harder to find a copy of this book these days, but they’re still around. See if you can hunt it down!
