Story time! 👀 For a number of years, I received books from various publishers in exchange for honest reviews. I was less discerning than I am now and was one of Turner’s first fans. While I continued to get his books as he wrote them, I was concurrently growing in my faith, spiritual maturity, and discernment regarding media. I started seeing some issues with the books. It was when I received a new book that he dedicated to Rachel Held Evans that I put a full-stop on Matthew Paul Turner (it was the final straw).

I have since seen that he promotes various woke agendas (in his books and also just in life), supports and yokes with several false teachers, and in many ways lives a progressive type of “Christianity.”

(Btw, I don’t say any of this with ease. I really, really loved parts of his books.)

His gift with words, rhymes and storytelling is a waste of talent. Those gifts should be used to glorify God, not to point people down worldly paths. I recommend to all parents to skip over his for plenty of other better books out there!
