  • neat extra info in back

Type: illustrated chapter book (or long picture book)
Ages: 5+
Author: Christina Björk
Illustrator: Lena Anderson

This was really well written! Sure, it’s a little strange to have zero mention of the girl’s parents and for her to travel across the globe with an old man, but hey, it works in this case. 🙂

I would recommend reading it in a few sittings–not only because it’s quite long but also to allow for sufficient time to study the paintings. How amazing would it be to visit the real-life places you’ve only ever seen in books? Kids will enjoy traveling with Linnea and Mr. Bloom, and I hope you do, too!
