The Farmer Who Chose to Plant (Hinn) | keenlykept.com
  • rhyming tale of a farmer who let selfishness crowd out his consideration of others
  • Scripture focus: Ephesians 4:32
  • delightful and memorable illustrations
  • helpful appendix “Take the Next Step as a Family”

Type: biblical picture book
Ages: 3-8
Authors: Costi & Christyne Hinn

What relatable emotions and thoughts our main character has! Children (and, honestly, their parents) are sure to connect with this message. It’s so terribly tempting to focus on ourselves, isn’t it?

The man learns that to have lasting kindness for others cannot be performed by our own strengths–it must be through our faith in Jesus. “Jesus is the answer to unkindness.” Readers also clearly see how both kindness and unkindness are contagious!

I love this little series and hope they’re able to make more of them. Check out the other title, The King Who Found His Self-Control. Happy reading!
