Editor: David Powlison
Illustrator: Joe Hox

Gus’s parents are very realistic examples for him, because they struggle with the sin of “wanting more,” too. Beyond the discussion points given to parents in the back of the book, you might also choose to talk about healthy eating, being responsible for the body God gave us, and how addicting sugar is (some say it’s worse than alcohol).

But, as the raccoon parents illustrate for us, no attempt of change will truly be successful unless the parents are being proper examples.
