The author immediately captures our attention with a hypothetical scenario of a boy excited to help build something for their honorable leader, the pharaoh. Then it transitions to a non-fiction feel.
Parents should be ready for questions revolving their religion and pagan traditions. Much of the book goes into this in detail, because pyramids are tied to their views of the afterlife.
That said, it’s well-written and does not only focus on the religious aspects. We get a glimpse into geography, farming, topography, and even hieroglyphics.
There is a really neat fold-out that shows what the work might have looked like from an aerial view.
I recommend breaking up into sessions of reading, as there is a lot of information to consume. No need to rush. 🙂
