I don’t often think a picture book is “too short,” but that’s the main reaction I had with this one. Before you really got into the climax of the story, it was all over. And there was very little character development that helped us connect with them.
However, it was still neatly done with its “dual” aspect, as well as the fact that it’s a true story! Have you ever heard of Grace Darling before?
