*I tend to keep notes on children’s books I read and was surprised that I hadn’t made a single note till toward the end. That tells you how few problems there are!
There were quite a few endearing parts which made my mom tears want to gush (and sometimes did indeed break loose), but nothing made my children cry. 😉 They enjoyed the humorous parts and the general story very much. One of the chapters involved a kidnapping, but my youngest didn’t even know that’s what happened, so it obviously more affects the parent than child.
Forget about modern mystery books and fantasy adventures for a moment. Enjoy a calmer yet enjoyable read-aloud with the wonderful Peppers.
