Your young listeners might wish there was a little more adventure in this basic story, but it’s still an amusing gentle read.

After I had formed my own opinion (in the positive), I couldn’t help but chuckle at some of the one-star reviews regarding stereotypes. Personally, I think it’s beautiful that there are so many types of cultures with their unique characteristics–from names to interests to food! God created it all and everything He does is perfect. Don’t let yourself read into stories things that are not there.

The back of the book has a fun bonus section–different recipes! They are all ones mentioned in the book. Enjoy…and Bon Appétit!
