Look no further if you’re seeking a new book for ages 10+. The story begins during WWII in England. A mother and son are traveling toward safety after their home is bombed. One other person is in their train car, and he tells them a riveting tale of his best friend during WWI. This friend had a unique encounter with Hitler during the Great War, which leads to the more suspenseful part of the book. I won’t give it away!
On a personal note, I pre-read this in secret and will definitely be putting it in my son’s next birthday book bundle. Hope your kids can enjoy it, too!
