Book Thoughts: The Boy Who Fell Off the Mayflower (Lynch)

  • true story, written in 1st person as John Howland, one of the Mayflower’s first passengers
  • excellent addition to American History studies
  • convo points: beheading and putting heads on spikes (small mention), beer, many deaths

Type: very long picture book
Ages: 7+
Author: P.J. Lynch

This is definitely a “multiple sitting” book, in my opinion, but that’s mostly because Mama wanted a break. 🙂 It kept the kids’ attentions and was an interesting take on the famous event!
