If there’s something I’ll never do, it’s recommend a book just because it’s a “classic,” or if I enjoyed it as a child or young adult. These reviews are coming from a mother’s perspective. ☺️
For a point of reference, my children were 6 and 8 when we listened to this. They are both pretty sensitive to violence and suspense…but they did just fine with this book. We paused and discussed it regularly, too.
My son had already read this at least twice when he was 7, but he still enjoyed hearing it again! It has the sweetest ending that had me tearing up. 🥰
