Book Thoughts: Christian Heroes, Then and Now: Betty Greene (Benge)

Christian Heroes, Then and Now: Betty Greene (Benge) | keenlykept.com
  • a young girl who has always loved flying grows up to be a pilot
  • Betty is an integral part of various missions organizations, serving by flying planes
  • convo: several deaths mentioned, mentions a tribe cutting off girls’ fingers

Type: biographical chapter book
Ages: 8-15
Authors: Janet Benge, Geoff Benge

This was a good book! Having read several in the series, I can say that Betty’s story is a lot gentler than others and, therefore, a good choice for a family read-aloud with listeners of various ages.

Betty Greene’s ministry takes her to Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Nigeria, and other countries, so it’s a fun one to pull out a map for!

Reading church history through biographies is such an enriching experience. I hope you are able to enjoy some of the stories the Benges share with us all.
