- true story, told in first person as Johann Sebastian Bach
- beautiful illustrations help tell the story

Type: biographical picture book
Ages: 4-8
Author: Tom Leonard
The artwork is what takes the cake on this book. It really brings alive Bach’s thoughts–how he saw things in color and noticed patterns everywhere. On the last page spread, as the text describes how his music will be heard forever, the pictures show people in progressively different clothing to represent the moving of history. Very neat.
Overall, it’s a short and great read. Definitely check it out!
