If you are reading this aloud to your children, you might want to break it up into multiple sittings. There are lots of interesting things on each page spread and it takes a while to see them all.
It was a clever idea to have the story of this dig be told by a boy via postcards to his friend back home. It made it that much relatable to children! He told his friend all about the painstakingly slow process archeology can be, the people he was able to work with (real names), the discoveries and more.
Definitely check this one out if you’re studying Ancient Egypt. It’s very well done.
