  • sweet story infused with some humor
  • an old woman befriends a dog
  • clean language

Type: picture book
Ages: 4-7
Author: Cynthia Rylant

This is yet another favorite Rylant book of mine. It has a good message of allowing yourself to be loved and loving in return. It’s important to make those connections, despite a fear that it might not last. An enjoyable read!
