Book Thoughts: How to Catch the Easter Bunny (Wallace)

  • on many recommended “Easter” book lists
  • shallow premise, a bit disjointed, and frantic feeling
  • secular (as in, it’s purely about the Easter bunny and not our risen Savior)
  • convo points: “luck,” “Easter spirit”
  • potentially introduces unwanted ideas or attitudes to children

Type: picture book
Ages: none
Author: Adam Wallace
Illustrator: Andy Elkerton

To be perfectly honest, if you don’t know me well, I’m hardly ever impressed with secular Easter books. It’s just so sad they miss the point–and do everything they can to purposely miss it!

But, alas, if you’re okay with reading imaginary books, there’s no issues with language besides what I mentioned above. For our family, it went right back to the library.
