• language: x4 stupid, x2 booby (as in “dumb”), x2 golly, x1 “L*rd”
• convo: lying, tobacco/pipe/snuff/cigarettes mentioned, race issues (a black man wishes he was white among other comments), various alcoholic drinks mentioned, hypnotism

Though this book was mildly and unrealistically amusing, it pressed a lot of “nah” buttons for us. We honestly only finished it (and book 2), because we [within reason] emphasize “finishing what we start” in our home. I can’t stop you from reading it, but perhaps seek out better ones. 😉
