If you know much about Beethoven, you know that there were many sorrowful aspects to his life, including his childhood. But that is not the focus of this book; rather, it tells specifically about how his “Heroic Symphony” came to be created.
With the above caveats for discussion, I recommend this book for any studies on Ludwig Van Beethoven or Austria (this particular part of his life happened in Vienna). Then definitely listen to the symphony!
