Type: chapter book
Ages: 9-12
Author: Catherine Woolley
Illustrator: Liz Dauber
Original Title: Ginnie and Her Juniors

This is a very sweet chapter book set several decades ago. I’m guessing girls will appreciate it more than boys, but each reader is different!

Besides the above, I also appreciated how Ginnie is so understanding of different types of personalities. She’s observant and kind about her friend’s strengths and weaknesses.

After I read this, I found out it’s from a series! If the nine others are as clean as this one, it would make a great library haul for your elementary age child!
