Hello!

Hi, my name is Sydney! I’m a wife and mother living in the beautiful state of Arizona. 🌵🏜 The Lord brought us here a few years ago and it’s felt more like home than anywhere we’ve lived our whole marriage. (Out of 3 states and 3 countries, that’s saying something.)

Keenly Kept has been a dream for years (although the name ideas have morphed!). Friends & fam have encouraged me to start sharing more with the world my thoughts on books (since apparently I have a lot of them 😆), so here I am!

Kept

The word “kept” has become a favorite of mine over the years. It depicts so much! Here are a few ways:

• Kept (John 17:12, Jude 24)
• Keep the faith (2 Timothy 4:7)
• Keep the home (Titus 2:5)
• Keep going (Philippians 3:13-14)

What to Expect

Over the years, especially after becoming parents, we have become more careful about what we (and our children) consume as far as books and screens go. (Well, food, too, now that I mention it.🤪) Sometimes I’m surprised at what others recommend for children, especially within Christian families. Other times, I empathize with parents who can’t find enough wholesome books for their children to read.

This site is where I’ll store my collection of book thoughts (see them first on Instagram!), as well as other things. All will be from the perspective of a Bible-believing homeschool mama who also deals with a fairly severe illness. I have found much comfort in God’s Word and Christian resources and hope this can provide help for you as you “keep” your own home and faith. 💕
