You’ve probably heard of Pippi Longstocking, but have you heard of this book/series? We accidentally read it out of order, but I’ve heard that the first book (“The Children of Noisy Village”) is just as good, if not better.
Update: It’s now been reviewed–click here!

My kids got so tickled at a few parts, I had to pause my reading so they didn’t miss anything I said. Ha! At one of those times, their giggles were so contagious (and the story funny) that I couldn’t stop laughing myself.

Interesting to note: we seemed to have read a newer version of this book. When it was first translated to English, it apparently had several more chapters. I discovered this only when I read other reviews mentioning questionable things that weren’t in our copy (such as witches on Easter, a child pretending to be a water spirit while stark naked, etc.). Our edition was published in 2012.
