I read this book aloud to my children, and it was mildly interesting to them. Nothing stood out to me as far as theological concerns go, so it’s a safe purchase if you’re looking for something like this. The writing could have used a lot of editing, but the story moved along just fine.

Though it’s not a main topic point, families with adopted children might appreciate that both the main characters are adopted. Their appearances are described to be quite different, which I find beautiful. I love how God knits families together with adoption!

If you have children on the younger side and have this available to read, they might very well love it. Hope this helps!
